"When I was 19 years", - Yury told, - "I had left sports, but felt some dissatisfaction in connection with absence of an active training. That is how I got an idea to try myself in boxing, which I always admired." The debut has appeared successful. In 1995 Yury for the first time entered a boxing hall, and in 1998 he already became the prize-winner of the championship of Ukraine.

Then the successful sportsman has decided to try his force in professionals. "The professional boxing is more preferable to me than amateur one", - he has admitted. "It is as in running, where there are a short and long distances. I, for example, always liked to run cross-countries more than 200, 300 meters distances. And in boxing it is more interesting to fight a lot of rounds - 6, 8, 10, 12".

Intentions of the beginning professional Voronin were serious. "If one has decided to be engaged in something", - Yury is sure - "it is necessary to put before yourself the highest goals, or otherwise it is better to not even try". And the boxer has proved completely his believes by business.

When in October, 2003 Yury in Moscow has won the title of the Champion of the CIS and the Slavic Countries under version of WBC, he had the chance to get acquainted with the famous boxer Kostya Tszyu. By the way, after the fight, having congratulated the champion, Kostya Tszyu has joked that he would not like to pass a couple of Voronin's hits. It is amazing, that having come in boxing being already an adult, it was possible for Yury to reach such high results. Voronin, who for 7 years has been training young boxers, has not refused to share his knowledge. "Firstly, it is necessary not to over-train", - Yury counts, - "secondly, not to be a fanatic. The fanaticism blinds, prevents thinking, adequately estimating a situation. In a ring it is very important to be able to adapt to a different sort of situations, to improvise on the move."

Voronin has also told that to gain victories in boxing he uses the help of... the Philosophy of Samurais. "Yes, really, the philosophy of Samurais, which is close me, states that the fear holds down a person. All Samurais moved as fast as lightning. The techniques of their movements have been trained to an automatism. And it made them fearless, and as so - impregnable".

Similar skills help the sportsman not only on a ring. The matter is that Yury Voronin works in one of the best supermarket networks of Ukraine «Tavria V» on a post of the head of the department of Quality Assurance. As Yury remarks: "Basically, my task as the employee of the company is the protection of interests of consumers. Certainly, it is not the ring, but also here it happens to be a very hard work".

According to Yury, - "the majority of colleagues at «Tavria V» take a great and active interest in sports". So it is no wonder that the boxer is the soul of the company. On tournaments, where Voronin takes part, among numerous admirers it is possible to see his fellow workers who always come to support him.

Yury does not hide the fact that by his achievements in sport in many respects he is obliged to the company management. It is no secret that in our country sportsmen frequently cannot show worthy results simply because of banal material difficulties. In the company «Tavria V» the sportsmen on the contrary are helped and encouraged to become successful in a sport. It remains only to wish, that there is more such attitude to sport in our society...
